techcron.hr · Privacy

Your visit, your data.

You can browse every project without entering the driving world or giving me your name.

What the world collects

When you join multiplayer, the service records a session ID, generated driver name, selected car and colour, join and leave times, project-gate visits and lap times. It may also record your browser's user-agent string and country supplied by the hosting network. Name and company are optional and shown to other visitors as a name tag above your car. Leave them blank and you can still play.

Your IP address is used to connect to the site and game services. The game session database does not store an IP address. Hosting and network providers may process connection details in their own operational logs.

Why I keep it

I use session and driving events to run multiplayer, understand which projects visitors explore and troubleshoot the world. Optional name and company help me recognise a visit. They are not needed to browse the portfolio.

Saved details on this browser

After you start driving, this browser remembers that you joined and saves any optional name and company in local storage. Later visits skip the join popup and send those details to Techcron for the new session and your public name tag.

Open Your details in the game to view, edit or clear them. Clearing removes the saved personal fields and withdraws them from your current session; it keeps only a marker so the popup stays dismissed. It does not erase earlier sessions. Browser storage lasts until you clear it or your browser removes it. If storage is blocked or unreadable, you can still drive, but the popup may return.

The game also remembers on this browser if you turn sound or voice off, and which speakers and microphone you pick (as the browser's device ids). Your browser keeps its own record of microphone permission.

Name tags

Other visitors see your name and company as “Name · Company” above your car while you drive, with each part limited to 32 characters. Either part can appear alone; if both are blank, the tag reads “Unknown”. You do not see a tag above your own car.

Editing or clearing Your details updates the tag immediately for everyone. Other visitors' browsers hold it only in memory while you are both in the world; it is not stored anywhere new. The operator can switch name tags off for everyone, so all tags read “Unknown”.

Optional voice

While Voice is on, microphone audio is sent to our voice relay even if nobody is nearby. The game plays positional voice within 160 metres and silences it outside that range. Distance muting is a client playback feature, not an access restriction.

Voice is on by default when you start driving, but your browser asks before the game can use your microphone, and nothing is sent unless you allow it. Untick “Talk to nearby drivers” or press Voice at any time to turn it off; this browser remembers that choice. A microphone badge over your car shows when your voice is being sent. Audio travels through our voice relay; the application does not record it. The relay receives your IP address and microphone audio while Voice is on. Game-session authentication controls access to the voice room. Leave voice off if you do not want to share it, and avoid saying anything private around other players.

Retention and deletion

Other visitors’ browsers do not keep your name tag after you leave the world.

After 180 days, the retention process removes optional name and company, country and user-agent information from sessions. Generated visitor names, car choices, session times, gate visits and lap records remain for portfolio statistics. This is personal-field removal, rather than deletion of the entire session.

For a copy of your information, a correction or deletion, email [email protected]. Include your generated driver name and approximate visit time so I can find the session; please do not send sensitive information.
